Volunteering

Hello! We’re so glad you are interested in exploring the ways you can volunteer around RiverCross. We are excited about making a difference in our community & world together.

There are a large number of areas in which you can get involved:

helping in our community outreach

leading with our children or youth

being part of a prayer team

serving behind the scenes for our services

helping people find a parking spot or serving coffee

helping with our Christmas ministries

hosting a LifeGroup in your home

and many more!

The best way for you to start volunteering at RiverCross is to try some things out!

So, step one, contact a Pastor and tell them you're interested in volunteering. Then they'll chat with you about the different opportunities that fit your interests and gifts. Then you can try some things out.

Click on the person name below to e-mail them and tell them you're interested in volunteering:

Volunteer Training

We are so thankful for everyone that volunteers at RiverCross Church. It's only because of our volunteers that people are cared for and lives are changes.

It's because of our amazing volunteers that so much ministry happens!

We want to not only give volunteers great opportunities to contribute and make a difference in our community & world, we also want to help our volunteers be the best they can be!

We send volunteers to great conferences each year. We believe in you & the impact you are making in this world.

And each year we have a "Equipping for Ministry" event for all our volunteers. It's an amazing day of hearing stories from all our different volunteers of how they are seeing God at work. It's an amazing day of sharpening our skills as leaders.

We are committed to create welcoming, caring & safe enviornments for everyone to have a place where they can discover Jesus.

Towards that end, we've taken special care to make sure all our volunteers are using their heads, hearts, eyes & ears to keep things safer for children and youth.

Here is our VOLUNTEER HANDBOOK

We ask all our volunteers working with children and youth to complete a VOLUNTEER APPLICATION FORM and have an up-to-date criminal record check (every 3 years).

Our Convention has put out an excellent resources where you can look up questions you have about making things safer for children and youth & what to do in the case of needing to respond to a situation of suspected abuse. Please click here to view.
