The Grand Bay RCMP is open for criminal record/vulnerable sector applications on Wednesdays only, from 9am-3pm. They are closed for lunch from 12:30-1:30pm.
There is no fee to obtain your criminal record check, but they will require two pieces of ID (one with your photo), and a letter from RiverCross stating that you are a volunteer. You can access that letter below.
One way to obtain your criminal record check is to apply online through the Saint John Police. You cannot apply online if you are under the age of 18, have lived in Canada for less than a year, or do not have established personal credit history.
If you choose to apply online, select the Vulnerable Sector Check, and sure to indicate in your application that you are a volunteer. List RiverCross Church as the organization you are volunteering with, and include the ministry are (i.e. preschool, nursery, children's programs, youth programs, etc.) as your reason for requesting a vulnerable sector check. You will not be required to provide a letter from RiverCross indicating that you are a volunteer if you apply online.
The fee will be $10 payable by credit card. Please save proof of payment, and submit it along with an expense claim form to the church office for reimbursement.
Your online application will be processed and your criminal record check will be ready for pick up in approximately 10 business days. You will be provided with a username and password that will allow you to log in and check the status of your application. Once it says "completed," you can go to the Saint John Police station to pick it up. Don't forget to bring photo ID!

ONLINE CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK APPLICATION
Information for applying for your criminal record/vulnerable sector check for residents of Quispamsis/Rothesay can be found here. Applications are accepted both online and in person for a fee of $15. Please keep a record of payment and submit it to the church office along with an expense claim form for reimbursement. To apply for a criminal record check in person, you will need two pieces of ID, and a letter from RiverCross stating that you are a volunteer which can be accessed below.
