About rivercross church

If we had one phrase that best described our church, it would be beautiful community. God is bringing together an amazing community of diverse people from different ethnicities, economic backgrounds and ages.

Mission in our DNA

RiverCross Church, has been an integral part of the North End since 1842. It was a church plant from Germain Street (uptown) in hopes of reaching out to a new part of the city.   RiverCross has a history of repositioning itself to better serve its community, and that story continues.

In 2013 our church took a major step forward and constructed a 20,000 sq ft facility on Forbes Drive to allow our church to grow.  We also repurposed our old facility on Main Street and we are now using it as a mission hub for the Old North End and Crescent Valley.

A Journeying Community

We believe that discovering what it means to be a Jesus follower happens in community. We live in such a fragmented world and we are all looking for a place to belong. We would encourage everyone to find a place to connect, whether that means becoming part of a LifeGroup or Bible Study - we would want to help you find a place to belong.

Growing

RiverCross continues to grow.  Each Sunday we have new people who attend for the first time, wondering if this could be their spiritual home.  We are so pleased to see new people from all ages and walks of life, and we hope that you would find a home here.

RiverCross Connections

RiverCross Church is a Baptist congregation, although we are made up of people from various denominational backgrounds. Our church was started in 1842 as a church plant from Germain Street Baptist Church, once on Germain Street in uptown Saint John (currently the Sanctuary Theatre). We are pleased to be a part of the Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches in this region and Canadian Baptist Ministries nationally and the Baptist World Alliance, internationally.

RiverCross also works together with other local churches and community groups in hopes that together, we might see God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
